Forskolin for weight loss. The facts that cuts through the noise.

Many people continues to be frustrated with their weight efforts. If you believe you are doing everything the experts suggest but simply unable to lose that unwanted weight one thing to consider is to use dietary supplements like forskolin.

The research shows that less than 20 of people succeed using traditional weight loss methods.

Let’s start with what solid science have discovered about forskolin:

Clinical trials shows some positive results. It clearly reveals that forskolin promotes fat loss while preserving muscle mass in some people. It can do this by stimulating the release of stored fat from cells.

But there is a difference between the results between men and women.

How effective is foskolin for weight loss in men?

The one solid scientific study on 30 overweight men were tested. The men who took forskolin, lost significantly more fat, but total body weight did not change.

Testosterone can stimulate the release of fat from fat cells, which may partly explain the fat loss observed in the study.

There was also an additional benefits for men which we will look at below.

How effective is foskolin for weight loss in women?

In the other study, 23 overweight women received the same dose of Coleus forskohlii  for the testing period ( 3 months).

In contrast to the previous study, forskolin supplementation did not have any significant effects on fat loss.

These results however did reveal that forskolin can protect women from weight gain.

How did Dr. Oz land himself in trouble regarding his claims about the effectiveness? 

It seems that Dr Oz went a bit overboard regarding his claims about forskolin for weight loss.

Dr Oz was definitely over-dramatic with his statements that included: "this little bean has scientists saying they’ve found the magic weight loss cure for every body type"

From our review here it is clearly not that simple and requires closer analysis.

Mistakes to avoid 

The key to healthy successful weight loss is to get the right, reliable information but it is also about how to use this information.

From the above findings we can conclude that forskolin can be effective for weight loss but in different ways for men and women.

It is the additional benefits of forskolin that is not emphasised enough.

Benefit 1 – Healthy lungs

Forskolin can increase the diameter of airways in the lungs, which is highly favorable in the treatment of asthma. 

In one study conducted over an 8 month period of time, researchers found that those patients given 10mg of forskolin each day suffered from 45% fewer asthma attacks. 

Benefit 2 - Heart Health

Forskolin has shown the ability to revitalize failing heart tissues. Forskolin has the ability to strenthen the tissues of the heart, which in turn produce a stronger heartbeat, and wider blood vessels. 

Benefit 3 - Increases Testosterone

Forskolin can provide dramatic increases in testosterone levels in men. It can improve testosterone up to 30% which means it can be an effective means of boost male fertility, work wonders to resolve erectile dysfunction and low sex drive.
